2016 | Photography | To See The World Through A Petal
I am always drawn to the complex interacting networks within living creatures. Similar to the hierarchy of human social structure, the intertwinement and collaboration between each cell form larger functional substructure in plant organisms. Single unit won't be able to survive without being as a whole. To emphasize how mingled and broad this mesh can be, I use microphotographs and computational manipulation to reveal and highlight the dedicated vessel networks within petals in a way that human beings do not usually perceive with their naked eyes.
